#ad Being a mother is a gift and a learning experience that is one of a kind. I love my kids and being a mother, and I always knew that I wanted to be a mother. Being blessed to conceive, carry and birth 4 healthy boys is nothing I take for granted. I was equally blessed to have an amazing village of support each time, as well as a midwife who empowered and guided me every step of the way. Every expectant mother deserves to feel safe, respected, and celebrated. Unfortunately, Black Maternal Health is still a national crisis being systematically ignored. Were you aware that, according to the CDC as of April 2022, Black women are 3x more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than their white and Hispanic counterparts?
