Alright. Here it goes. CHEF. OZ. CAROLE BASKIN. SISTER. Been tryina make this post all day. 😩 If you’ve been to King State, you know of her. If you love our food, it’s cause of her. She’s been here since day - 100. As her older brother, I could write a book about her, but will save it for my personal account 🤝 But, her last shift on the floor at King State/The Food Store is next week. She has given her all + some to KS and all of her co-workers for the last 3.5 years. She’s worked harder than anyone, ever. Meanwhile, treating everyone with love & respect. Her legacy will continue at KS for years to continue. Her recipes, dishes and style will live on through the Food Store always. She’s headed into some much needed rest and downtime and whatever else is next! This is her last weekend working on the floor. If you wanna show her the love, roll through this weekend. Buy “a shot for the chef” or even just thank her as you see her walk by. Or, feel free to try and slip her some hundies or pre-rolls or something. She’s cool with either. 🫡 We love you Chef Oz. East of the curtain will never be the same without you. But we we’re SOOO stoked and pumped for you in all that is next!! Like sleeping past 6 am and getting a massage or something.
