This evening I’ll be in conversation with @moses @nubuke_foundation at 7pm. I first met Moses when he came to @ano_ghana with @larryosseimensah in 2019. I first encountered his music when my friend/sister @taiye.entirely wrote about it when we were both serendipitously spending time in Berlin in 2015. I have spent the last few days in Moses world, listening to his music in all the gaps, at waking, sleep, walking the dog; from the latest live performance film Blackalachia to his first EP Mid-City Island, and what is striking is that he was already completely & fully formed from the very beginning, everything was in place, every new chapter another layer to the depth; explorations of solitude, of intimacy, of being true in a world of construction, and above all and always existential; to be brave enough, clear enough, to reimagine how we exist in the world through his genius.
