I ♥️ YOU SENEGAL. This is a typical day when building a school with @buildon - How inspiring is it to see the kids work alongside their mom and dads to build their own school??! It’s just not something we have to even consider in the states or in many parts of the developed world. This Santhiou Sine community had been applying for a teacher for 2 years without any luck and finally had a teacher assigned to their community, but didn’t have a proper school to hold all the kids. That’s why everyday they would show up to the worksite an hour before us to start working on the school. Most of the adults wanted to get an education, but didn’t have the option so their passion to ensure their children’s education was profound. Such a special way to celebrate my 40th birthday. I have so much more to share!
