Up close and personal with the new volcano 🌋 This was the first time in my life seeing an erupting volcano. There have been nine other eruptions in Iceland since I was born (correct me if I’m wrong). Every time it happened I wasn’t able to go explore it so I’ve basically been waiting for this moment my whole life. The area I’m standing at was covered with lava just a few hours after I was there. Will definitely go back soon to see how much the volcano has changed. It’s only day three, so more volcanic fissures can open up and the eruption can move. It can stop where it is and start somewhere else. It can increase its activity, we simply don’t know for sure what’s going to happen.
