For forever. Endlessly grateful to everyone who helped create all that is Dear Evan Hansen. The show officially closed on Broadway last night, and I am, of course, a puddle of nostalgia and gratitude. I can’t believe each turn it took, each new high and low, each unexpected adventure and the outpouring of love from so many folks who helped bring this show into the world and received it so openly. It is and will forever be part of me and my life story, and I’m so grateful it found its way into so many of yours as well. The message of the musical, to me at least, will always be that our worst moments do not fully define us. Thanks for making Dear Evan Hansen into one of my best.
