Mostly heartbroken by news and views of misogynoir- those too tied to patriarchal standpoints to allow ever-present realities to even enter the contemplative realm as Black women are assaulted physically and virtually; the fact that so many doubt the wisdom of the ages, take pride in corrupted files, choose such pretentious yet mindless hills to die on, trust the dictates of other men who have told them that “only men” and “strong men” and “righteous men” and “real men”...; that these same patriarchal standpoints define authoritative regimes - like in Iran where men in uniform parade as uniformed men, whose very laws expose their own lack of discipline, whose dicks harden beneath religious robes at the thought of God’s head exposed, who are now so far from themselves that they do not recognize their revered poet in every protester, who would execute their own future if it meant that women Do Not Question; and the parade of hubris amongst billionaires and their devoted acolytes whose warped values form their own astrology, over-confident in blatant insecurities, whose intellectual negligence is in having never completed the thought, whose unexamined self is the goal post for men who dream in dominance, whose violent rhetoric pollutes the thought space until it is active gunfire, who wormhole insecurity for confirmation of a bruised ego, scream scripture at the top of their lungs, seek other men to share their anger, take pride in having reinvented the wheel. Theirs is the greatest poverty, for they may never learn.
