Last year, @rahrobinson invited me to DP a project documenting @hbcusoutside ambassador @adriandwilson on a climbing trip to Alabama. He brought along four of his friends and fellow @famu_1887 students who had never climbed before the trip - inside or out. Looking back at the finished project it’s still dizzying to believe that my love of climbing and the outdoors, introducing people to both, Black people, our culture and storytelling all came together in this single project. Damn. This one really set the tone for how I’ve been pushing ever since. Mega lucky to have met and learned from everyone involved in this one. Thank you to everyone whose hands and hearts made this possible. Today I’m missing the sunshine and sandstone and good company to enjoy both. ...
