A little check in ❤️ now that my nervous system has chilled out a bit. I have been a wreck, there’s no denying that and have also been working through projects at the same time so I haven’t really had space to process or unfold the event of waking up at 3:30am last Wednesday morning, in bed surrounded by flood water that had crept into my friends home during the night. I’ve been drying out precious study texts of mine and airing out shoes and suitcase etc but all in all feeling very grateful with a little side of PTSD. I have to tell you, I am amazed at how this space transformed into a direct form of communications and support if I needed it last week in what was the second flash flood to hit the Northern Rivers this year. To every single one of you who messaged and reached out to me with offers of unconditional support and help, I am in awe of you! ❤️‍🔥 What absolute legends you are, it makes me emotional the compassion I have received from you. I F*ing LOVE you!! It’s most certainly a time when true colour shines, let me tell you 🥺🌈 I am safe, dry, well and happy in between Brisbane and Byron at the moment, I’m with family now and have a beautiful newborn niece to cuddle 💕👼🏻 so I guess I just wanted to say how grateful I am to you Insta community for jumping in when it was really needed and felt - as well as those out there still supporting flood affected people that have been through what I couldn’t even imagine 😭🙏🏽❤️ These times are calling for us to unite and fully experience our human-ness.
