The on-site harvest of native plant seeds is critical for enabling Grand Teton to achieve its revegetation and restoration management goals, including the advancement of a multi-phase restoration effort to return 4,500 acres of abandoned hayfields to native sagebrush-steppe ecosystem near Mormon Row. A healthy sagebrush ecosystem is vital for the diversity and abundance of native plants and wildlife species like elk, bison, moose, pronghorn, and sage grouse that rely on them.
