It's always, "you eat too much McDonald's" and never "you're a really good cook and eat your own gourmet food" 😂🍔
But it all seriousness, @mcdonalds should really sponsor me for the amount of exposure I give them😅 Okay, but in ACTUAL seriousness, It's important to discuss the frequency in which I get these comments. A small woman, who can "eat" and enjoy fast food on tiktok gets praised for it, but when a big woman is on the internet, she must ✨only ✨ eat fast food and so she's despicable. It's not really about eating McDonald's, it's about making it look cool when thin people do it and making sure fat people are standing in agony on a treadmill with a celery stalk in hand.
This also highlights how we fail to see the intricacies of why someone is fat. I've said this time and time again, but bigger bodied people aren't caricatures crying into buckets of food. Fat people can be:
- anyone who can't afford ritzy, all organic health food and an expensive gym membership.
- those dealing with one or a few of the many ED's.
- parents that have their whole world dedicated to their children.
- people with PCOS, or any health-related issue that causes weight gain.
- those genetically predisposed to it.
- literally any other reason and it's still none of your damn business why someone is fat.
At the end of the day, let's not shame anyone for eating anything, EVER, no matter what it is. To my babes that need a place to eat in peace, come on over. You like Italian food? ✨
