hi gang, long rambly speech alert sorry (!!), firstly thanks again for all your love for ‘If These Walls Could Talk’ over the past month or so, i’ve known for a little while now that this EP would be the last in the series, i’ve made an EP every year for the past four years and it’s been such a wicked liberating experience, i’ve basically done whatever the fuck i want each time, played around with loads of different styles and sounds, worked with some amazing musicians who’ve become really close friends and also met such a loyal supportive bunch of humans along the way who i’m super grateful for, so thank you, butttttt i thiiiiiink it’s about time i go make a bloody album, i’ve been putting it off for a few years now cos honestly it’s a bit scary and sort of looms over me like a bad smell after a house party, but i think i’m ready i might disappear a little bit to go get my head down, write some new tunes and hopefully make something i’m really proud of, so don’t worry about the radio silence, i’ve also been on my phone far less over the past couple weeks and honestly i’ve been 99.9% happier, nothing to do with you lot, the internet is just a weird place and i need to go live in the real world for a little bit so that i’ve got some shit to write about, but we’re already planning some fun stuff for the autumn (!!) so you can’t get rid of me for too long, promise thanks a million if you started listening four years ago or four days ago, i have no idea what the next year’s gonna look like or sound like and it’s weirdly very exciting, but i guess what i do know is that a benny cork album is in the works and even just reading that sentence back makes me very happy, much love, have a blast over the summer and catch you soon x
