Barbados and Suriname have signed the Formation Agreement for the Strategic Dialogue and Cooperation Platform to strengthen cooperation and the existing friendly relations between the two countries with a view to the development of the potential of both their countries and peoples; WISHING to develop such cooperation on the basis of mutual respect for sovereignty, non-interference in each other's internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit; DESIRING to establish a Strategic Dialogue and Cooperation Platform (SDCP) as an effective and necessary political framework and basis for strategic cooperation in areas of mutual interest at the highest political level.
