easy like sunday morning cinnamon rolls π«ΆπΌ dough + 1 cup warm milk (110 degrees, v important) + 2 eggs, room temp + 1β3 cup butter, melted + 4 1β2 cups AP flour + 1 teaspoon salt + 1β2 cup white sugar + packet of instant yeast filling + 1 cup brown sugar, packed + 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon + pinch of nutmeg + 1β3 cup butter, softened frosting + 1 1β2 cups powdered sugar + 1β4 cup butter, softened + 1 package cream cheese, softened + 1β2 teaspoon vanilla extract + pinch of salt + optional: cream or milk (add if you like a smoother/runnier consistency 1. Activate your instant yeast according to the directions. In a bowl, combine eggs, melted butter, flour, salt, sugar, and the activated yeast mixture. Mix until well combined. 2. Knead the dough on a floured surface (or use a dough hook if you have one), for about 5 minutes, then place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour). 3. In a separate bowl, mix all the ingredients for the filling together. 4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling mixture into a thin layer. 5. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 8 slices. Place the rolls in a greased baking pan. 6. Let the rolls rise for another 30-45 minutes. 7. Preheat the oven to 375Β°, pour a cup of heavy cream over the rolls, and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Donβt over-bake because you still want them to be soft. 8. While the rolls are baking, prepare the frosting by mixing together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
