I remember years ago being told that I should commit to one thing. That I needed to be “a drummer” or “a producer” or “an engineer.” - Now I realize that, at least for me, having multiple outlets is what keeps me in a posture of growth. I love being a drummer and I love mixing records. One serves the other. During the pandemic I leaned heavily into mixing and when the time for touring finally presented itself two years later, I was uncertain. I was excited to travel and to play drums again — but wasn’t sure how easily the two worlds would coexist. Thankfully, I found a flow. - Thanks to this little mobile rig, some trusty cans, and a “weekend warrior” touring schedule [thanks, country music], I get to work on amazing music during the day and play drums alongside the very best in the business for thousands of people every night. And every so often, thanks to trust from @marenmorris & team, those two worlds collide. So much for one or the other!
