i wrote this song about falling out of love with someone i thought was my person. we honestly thought we’d spend the rest of our lives together, have a family and everything, but i was still a boy. i wasn’t ready for that responsibility, and I grew out of infatuation. it backfired. I hurt and lost my best friend. With every conversation and time we had, goodbye was never a topic of discussion, but it happened anyway. so, that’s where this song is coming from. there’s power in vulnerability, so im happy to share this with y’all.
