As a first-gen kid I feel like I always grew up hearing that we’d live somewhere bigger or better or different and I wrote this song about realizing as I got older that my family and I spent a lot of time thinking of our home of many many years as a hill to get over instead of a home! I wish we spent more time appreciating it but it brings me peace to realize my childhood home was something much more beautiful and meaningful than I felt like it was when I was younger.
