As I’m sitting in the hotel waiting for the shuttle to the airport here in Salt Lake City - where I have enjoyed 4 days of an all expense paid trip with lots of spoiling on top of that - this FB memory popped up from exactly 4 years ago today. This was the first live I had ever done. I was telling everyone that not only had I been on a 5 year journey of learning about all things natural living and trying to do better for my family; but also that I was now partnering with the company that had made that journey just a lil easier. It doesn’t take more than a few days on social media to be utterly confused as to what exactly is safe in our homes. One day avocado oil and chia seeds are amazing and the next they’re toxic. 😵‍💫 I’m not saying this is the only company putting better products on the market or that I solely get every last thing they offer. But I am saying it became my one-stop-shop for 80% of my household cleaners, personal care products for my whole family, makeup, supplements, and my essential oils, of course. It was the easy button for an already overwhelmed mom because I could trust their ingredients, their transparency, and sourcing of their products. It made such an impact on my entire family that I wanted to share that with other moms just like me. I won’t hide the fact that Young Living is a network marketing company. I think that is a fantastic business model. I was recommending these products already...why was I leaving $$ on the table doing it? This weekend has been incredible. I didn’t set out to earn fancy trips or hit certain ranks. I just wanted to help other moms transition to natural, safer living while helping to get my products “free” and pay for the organic groceries and chiropractic appointments I really wanted for my family. I did it - scared but I freaking did it. Hey, mama, you can to! It might be scary but just take the first step and do it - scared. That girl in the green shirt four years ago today would be so proud of what I’ve done. And I’m so thankful for how brave she was to take that first step.
