Burning man fashion is fun but the incredible art on the playa at Burning Man is reason alone to put up with the oppressive heat and dust at Black Rock City. People don’t just go to see the art, they go to become part of the art. This year there were over 400 art installations at Burning Man. You can climb on most of the work and many of the installations are interactive such as this one. There’s a statue of a young boy in the foreground that you can’t see in the photo. He receives audio messages from the creature made of old tires with the boy inside his mouth. The messages switch between positive and negative messages when the outer boy statue is touched. It’s an example of how we as a society can change the messages our children or inner children receive.
