I wrote this song called “Johnny” back in 2003 on my ‘Story Goes Album’ which touches on my experience of bullying at school & how unfortunately it weaves it’s way in to so many of our lives no matter the age. Bullies prefer to have you stay quiet or threaten to make the situation worse if you tell anyone. As an adult I now understand this is exactly the mechanism that keeps us shackled to the abuser. I hope that by speaking my truth no other little boy or girl has to feel like they can’t tell someone what they are experiencing, so they can be helped. And as adults we continue to share our truth, so that we can change the storyline from victim to being healed, and ultimately become advocates for change in our society. I posted this up today for anyone that’s going through this be it at school, at work, at home, wherever you are, as I just want you to know you are seen & heard, and together we can eradicate one of the highest forms of weakness...#bullying Sending you all my love & light. 🙏🏽❤️
