Ooof, it’s like a time capsule of regret… Ok not really, and honestly, I’m glad this 2016 trend is happening because it’s given me some perspective on how far me and HCH have come. I started Holy City Handcraft in late 2015 and I can’t believe it’s been a little over a decade since then. Seeing these old photos and cocktails makes me realize how much I’ve truly enjoyed learning how to get better at each of those hobbies. So much so that it became my full time career 5 years ago. Granted, I had 2 less kids, no real obligations and was just eager to do anything and everything when it came to photography and drinks. Looking back, I also realize how much I was able to do with so little. I didn’t care about any algorithms or metrics and just made content because it was fun and it made me happy to share it with a small community. A lot has changed since then but I’m blessed to still be here with like minded folks who still enjoy seeing what I’m making or doing, even 10 years later. It makes me want to bring it full circle and start posting more content that’s truly about me and what I’m passionate about and it’s the energy I’m bringing into 2026 whether you like it or not.
