Monocle's sister magazine Konfekt has teamed up with Rue de Verneuil to create a head-turning tote. Rue de Verneuil – named after the brand’s studio address in central Paris – brings a vibrant retro flourish to its French-made bags. Its founder, Vincent Ribat, a former interior designer, has a way with colour and prints, and his designs recall both the sturdy canvas American tool bags of the 1950s and the sun-kissed glamour of the French Riviera. The Palais Royal tote, named in honour of the 17th-century former royal palace located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, is made of cotton with canvas lining and comes with a detachable strap so can be slung from the shoulder or carried by hand. If that doesn’t sway you, the contrasting camel and orange candy stripes surely will. Shop now at @shop.monocle #monocleshop #monocle #totebag #ruedeverneuil
