In time, this baby will be a big eater: An adult elephant can consume up to 300 pounds of vegetation in a single day. Right now, however, her taste buds are just blossoming! Even when they’re on an all-milk diet, calves are curious about what dietary delights lie ahead. Our Keepers encourage this behaviour, picking off succulent shoots for the youngest orphans to sample.
