Some people don’t like to eat before a workout and some people do. I will tell you it will benefit more to eat, even just a little snack before you workout. Why? Our bodies are like cars….we can’t drive or move forward without fuel!
Why?
When eating or drinking carbohydrates/protein/fats before exercise it can improve your workout performance and may allow you to work out for a longer time or at a higher intensity. Your body turns food into energy! If you don’t eat, you might feel sluggish or lightheaded when you exercise.
Favorite pre-workout meals:
- rice cakes with banana and peanut butter
- Protein smoothie with fruits/oatmeal
- Greek yogurt bowls
