The elite of the sailing world gathered in Cowes for the 2022 Etchells World Championship hosted by the Royal Yacht Squadron for a week of competitive racing, with crews hailing from all corners of the world. After three races were completed on the final day, North Sails boats topped the podium with Ante Razmilovic's Swedish Blue (GBR 1438) claiming the 2022 International Etchells World Title, with crew Brian Hammersley and North Sails Etchells Class Leader, Noel “Nitro” Drennan, sailing onboard. Congratulations! With a complex race course in Cowes, Noel commented, "It was always going to be pretty shifty and difficult days out there, so we had the philosophy of just trying to be in the game at the top mark, which was never that easily achieved every race in an Etchells Worlds."
