Today my first hour comedy special comes out on @epix. I knew I was a comedian when I was 7. I was watching Martin Lawrence by myself and I paused it, stood up in my living room, and recited one of his bits to perfection. Then I stood in silence for a while... questioning myself and wondering why I always do that. Why does comedy affect me so much? Why does my breathing change when I watch it? Why do I think about it sooooo much? It was like the world paused for a second and someone whispered something about destiny, dreams, and happiness in my ear but then poof they were gone. I still resisted that feeling for years but once I got on stage, I knew it was real. Undeniable. I can’t even explain how blessed I feel. I got my own comedy special.
