The little girl in me, was beyond excited 😆 to attend the @unforgettablegala with @character.media honoring Asians in entertainment & media last night 😭. Growing up half pinay & half desi it was always a thing of how much of each culture I was... last night collectively we represented as a whole, with @apldeap performing & showing up our traditional dances ✊🏽 and of course, our south Asian fam bam represented in BIG ways. It felt SO good to be seen, heard and these artists paving the way for more media & entertainment to look & feel like what we wanted to see growing up- representation 🫶🏽 There’s no doubt, that was touched on mental health of creatives & especially✨ paving the way for emerging artists to shine in ways we haven’t seen... Cheers to all of you who kept going on, after the rejections, after the major falls, building that bounce factor, and saying I’m gonna keep doing what I love anyway...
