Today marks the five-year anniversary of same-sex marriage becoming law in Australia, allowing thousands of same-sex couples to wed in front of loved ones since. Officially, the definition was changed to "the union of two people to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life", just two days after a Bill passed the House of Representatives.
