Nemrut Dağı Ören Yeri, Pütürge’nin Büyüköz Köyü ile Adıyaman’ın Kâhta İlçesi sınırları içerisinde yer almaktadır. Kommagene Kralı I. Antiochos’un tanrılara ve atalarına minnettarlığını göstermek için 2 bin 150 metre yüksekliğindeki Nemrut Dağı’nın yamaçlarına yaptırdığı mezar ve anıtsal heykeller, Helenistik Dönem'in en görkemli kalıntılarından birisidir. Nemrut Dağı’nın doruğu yerleşme yeri olmayıp, Antiochos’un tümülüsü ve kutsal alanlardır. Kralın kemiklerinin ya da küllerinin ana kayaya oyulmuş odaya konulduğu, 50 metre yüksekliğinde ve 150 metre çapındaki tümülüs, küçük kaya parçalarıyla örtülerek koruma altına alınmıştır. - Mount Nemrut Ruins is located within the borders of Büyüköz Village of Pütürge and Kahta District of Adıyaman. The tombs and monumental sculptures built on the slopes of Mount Nemrut, which is 2,150 meters high, by the Commagene King Antiochos I to show his gratitude to the gods and ancestors, are one of the most magnificent remains of the Hellenistic Period. The peak of Mount Nemrut is not a settlement, but the tumulus and sacred areas of Antiochos.
