I would’ve made this post sooner but the day after our last show in Canada I got sick & stayed sick up until now. I’m not surprised I got sick because this summer, although awesome onstage every night, was very difficult offstage for all of us. In Europe, I don’t think we could’ve asked for better crowds. You were so great night after night! Traveling & touring right now is another story. Most of you have heard the nightmares most bands are having right now with travel. Lots of bands had to cancel their tour plans because of lack of buses, trucks & crew and sometimes if you were lucky enough to get buses and/or trucks, they would break down. We were determined to NOT cancel anything! We unfortunately had our bus taken away a few weeks before the tour with no explanation given. So that meant traveling would be different everyday on this tour. It would consist of driving for days in a van, multiple trains, commercial flights & private jets. Sometimes a few of those things all in the same day just to make it to the show. Many late nights & super early mornings, not eating much at all, sleeping for a couple of hours & then playing headline sets for an hour & a half for 30-60k people almost every night. The highlight for me was asking @rockwerchterfestival if we could change our set time and go on first so we could travel to the next show in time. We were prepared to be playing for dozens of people that morning but the whole festival showed up! It was massive & the crowd was crazy. We finally made it to Canada, playing the biggest hometown show we’ve ever played at @budwieserstage. We’ve seen so many great shows there & it was an honor to play to a packed house. We finished it off playing a few shows in Ottawa & Quebec. We may have been tired on those last few, but as usual the crowds were so insane & gave us all the energy we needed. As soon as I got home I crashed & woke up sick, which happens a lot when you get home from a tour & your body finally lets go. But we are back on the road & I’m feeling better and looking forward to seeing you soon!
