✨OTC Products for Keratosis Pilaris✨
The goal of achieving clear skin definitely does not stop at the neck. And while there are many conditions that can affect any part of the body if you have found yourself experiencing rough red bumps or goosebumps on your chest, arms, or thighs then you may be dealing with keratosis pilaris.
Abbreviated KP, other common names include goosebumps skin, strawberry skin, etc.
It’s the result of keratin, which is a hair protein, that clogs the pores and blocks the opening of hair follicles. KP can develop anywhere that you have hair located on the body. When rubbing your hands over these areas the bumps can feel rough and prickly.
When it comes to treatments you want to think of products that can exfoliate the keratin buildup while also hydrating your skin. Ingredients such as #lacticacid #salicylicacid #urea #glycolicacid work best.
I took a trip to @walmart to find some of my favorite brands that I recommend in clinic all the time (highlighted above).
Some of my other favorites include:
@skinfixinc AHA Renewing Cream
@glytoneusa KP Kit
@firstaidbeauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub
@softservices Smoothing Lotion
@theinkeylist Lactic Acid
@dove Exfoliating Body Polish
@eltamdskincare Moisturizer
Now these products are not a cure for KP, but they definitely can help!!
