The Bugaboos are a popular mountaineering destination and are protected as a provincial park. 🏔️ The name "Bugaboo" originated from mining prospectors. The term was used by prospectors for a "dead-end". The word Bugaboo is defined as: a real or imagined obstacle that cannot be overcome; something that always causes failure or bad luck.
