Megepaji Gratitude 🙏 Yesterday afternoon Fall Flavours hosted an unforgettable event on Lennox Island, the traditional unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq in Western PEI. Chazz, the kids, and I were honoured to join friend Leslie Labobe in his community to enjoy the authentic flavours, warm hospitality and vibrant rituals of this unique community. An authentic menu from Chef Joseph Shawana, Lennox Island First Nation. From sand-baked bread to open grill campfire quail and sumac maple glazed salmon to wild blueberries and cream, all flavours for the tastebuds and traditions for the soul. It was a delightful surprise to see sumac on the menu as it is a favourite forage for us as well.
