•• I toured the parking lot today, just like Nana taught us. I even found $22! Baking into the cement. Instead of buying a giant bag of Lay’s potato ships, like she would have done- making sure to lick every last granule of salt off her pink acrylics- I tucked the warm bills into my wallet, telling my friend in the drivers seat about Nana, & those endless loops of our childhood from the backseat of the Cadillac, round & round the parking lots of Walla Walla, when the world was still a game.
