The first fighter from Pensacola to make it to the UFC! No gym politics, no bullshit, he just trained his ass off everywhere he could and fought as often as possible. He grappled, he boxed, he did mma and kickboxing, he took any fight he could and never asked anything about his opponent. From a chubby heavyweight doing this as a hobby, to getting in the best shape of his life and doing this as a career, he fought the best amateurs in the country holding 4 titles in 4 different amateur promotions to eventually turning pro and fighting some of the best prospects in the country. He won every fight as a pro and that got him his shot tonight on the Dana White Contender Series. Tonight he fought an absolute killer, a 23-3 pro kickboxer with over 60 amateur fights with an undefeated (6-0) pro mma record and made it look easy. SD did something most people don’t and that’s improve every time he steps foot in the ring or the cage and tonight he proved he belongs in the UFC.
