We're thrilled to have collaborated with @jhpublicart and local artist @helenseayart to support a new permanent mural in downtown Jackson! Helen's mural depicts a grizzly bear sow with two cubs as well as messaging about how to practice responsible recreation in bear country. The opportunity to observe grizzly bears and other wildlife is one of the primary reasons why millions of people visit @grandtetonnps every year. Ensuring the safety of grizzlies, other wildlife species, and park visitors is critical, so we are pleased to be a part of a project that helps educate the public about bear safety. The mural is located on the south side of the Shirt Off My Back building on Cache Street. When you visit the mural, be sure to download the latest version of the Hoverlay app which will allow you to view an augmented reality animation of the artwork. . . This mural was produced as a part of WildWalls 2022, which brings together local artists, non-profits, and businesses to create art that tells visual ecological stories that become interactive using mobile devices. This year, artists created fifteen murals throughout downtown Jackson. On Tuesday, July 19 we encourage you to join the Community Mural Walk from 5:00-7:00pm which starts at Snake River Brewpub. . .
