Because my algorithm is nothing more then weird stand up comedy shows (I’ve never been nor care to go) , golf (used to be boxing) and cheap eats (there’s a ALOT of different versions of this one) and seems to be telling me what to see as opposed to showing me what I want to see I’ve started reading a bunch more lately (for sure for the better) I haven’t been able to concentrate to well since the pandemic (cry me a river I know)and had a hard time finishing any book in the past few years (hence the condition of the Charlie Kaufman book)... anyway trying to fix that so this is what I’ve read over the summer so far and would love to discover something random to read NEXT so what do you suggest ???
1. The history of Bones by @john.lurie.art (whatever your opinion of Laurie this will only strengthen it ... I happen to like him) 2. DJ SCREW : A life in slow revolution by Lance Scott Walker 3. God with Revolver by #renericard re press by @editionslutanie (yo @weareweaksignal where’s my signed original 🤷🏻♂️😉) 4. Nightmare Alley by William Lindsay Gresham (I’ll read most anything published by #nyrb) 5. The Box Man by #koboabe (not sure how I found this book but related to it very much) 6. ANTKIND at over 700 mind boggling pages it’s a beast but one you won’t forget no matter how long it’s been since the last time you picked it up, truly unique in every sence of the word, if your familiar with Kaufman’s films it’s kind of like that but unfilmable which I think is the point ...) anyway .
