Working at the intersection of photography and painting, he begins with his own documentary images of everyday recreational scenes and transforms them into expansive panoramas that blur the boundaries between individuality and collectivity. Seen from above, his figures dissolve into visual rhythms: repetitions of color, gesture, and distance that read as abstract patterns from afar, yet reveal personal moments upon closer view. Through this shift in perspective, Lee invites viewers to consider the subtle tension between anonymity and intimacy.
