Caroline Rodgers is just one of eleven ropemakers left in the UK and of that small group she remains the only woman that still uses traditional hand looping methods.
When the company she worked for closed down, she bought the machinery to keep the heritage craft alive. And the future looks bright for Caroline who is working on a bespoke piece to be used in the landmark coronation of King Charles later this year.
