MOTHERHOOD, a group show featuring work by Alice Price, Kayin Talton Davis, Latoya Lovely and AJ McCreary, opens tomorrow, Friday, August 5 in Gallery 2 with a reception on Saturday from 5—8pm. ⁠ ⁠ The exhibition is curated by AJ McCreary, who says: “MOTHERHOOD is a celebration of Black Motherhood. The bright moments, the soft moments, the unique journey that is nurturing in a world that is inhospitable to our seed. It is a bold act of rebellion and resilience to be a Black Mother in Amerikkka and that deserves all the celebration in the now.
