If you had to list one thing, what’s your favorite part of your kitchen? For most people, the colors, finishes and materials come to mind. But for me, design is just as much about utility as it is your favorite backsplash tile. This kitchen was for a large family that loved cooking. I wanted to ensure there would be ample space to gather, eat and of course make those delicious dishes! While a design featuring two kitchen islands isn’t always feasible in every space, this is a perfect example of how successful design should consider the needs of the users as much as their aesthetic preferences.
