With so much greenwashing in the fashion industry, it is hard to know which brands are authentic in their sustainability pledge. What drew me to @Monsoon is that they have continuously strived to integrate ethical trading and sustainable practices into their business model for nearly 50 years. By 2023 over 95% of all Monsoon’s cotton will be organic or recycled cotton. Their Artisan Collection is made by hand workers who the brand visits and uses responsibly sourced organic fibres and fabrics; and by 2025, 90% of their total collection will be fully sustainable. Most importantly Monsoon are committed to supporting their rural suppliers, many of whom they have worked with since 1973, ensuring stability and growth in small communities around the world - where all of the hand embroidery and block prints on the Artisan Collection are produced. #mymonsoon Ph. @lindawit_
