Today we gathered with our community partners in solidarity with those affected by HIV/AIDS to bring awareness to this epidemic and fight against the stigma that keeps people from getting tested. AIDS is a life-threatening condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that attacks the immune system of the patient. In the Bronx, there are 31,035 people presently living with HIV. Testing is prevention. Let’s work together to end this epidemic and support those that are living with this disease.
