Giving Tuesday is just one week away! Ahead of the big day, we wanted to spotlight one of the numerous programs and services the Library Foundation of Los Angeles helps support at the Los Angeles Public Library. This week, we're highlighting the LAPL Cybernauts, trained computer aides who assist patrons in person and on-demand to operate their phones, tablets, or other computer devices. This free service is available at Central Library and 36 neighborhood libraries citywide. Between July 2021 and June 2022, Cybernauts assisted Library patrons with technology-related inquiries 13,878 times! Cybernauts not only connect with people in English but also support computer users in Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Chinese, American Sign Language, Greek, Swedish, Amharic, and Farsi! Cybernauts is just one example of many that showcases why your financial support matters.
