Today marks my official 3 year anniversary of living in Los Angeles and it has been a hell of a ride! When I first moved here in 2018, I immediately was filled with fear, anxiety, excitement and doubt of what could happen within my career. My first year honestly started off crazy: There have been countless times I have had the #urge to #quit because my #career was not going as I planned; I was in the negatives in my bank account, my savings account was drained, #potential clients were not reaching back out to me and my life was looking like a mess. I started reaching out to people and sent damn near 20-50 emails a day to LA photographers, producers, studios, makeup artists, hair stylists, and any one I could find that could give me a chance. Coming from Chicago, I thought my portfolio was excellent, but after going to numerous meetings, I looked like a beginner in the eyes of LA agencies. 😖😫😫 I started doing free test shoots to pass the time and try to build my portfolio. One of the first clients I had was @taylaparx thanks to @kanyaiwana I did a music video with her, which lead to us going to the Grammy’s together in 2019. 🥰 One of the agencies I reached out to was @cloutierremix they brought me in as an assistant for @saishabeecham and after working with her immediately signed and represented me! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 Fast forward to three years later, I now work with @dwyanewade @snoopdogg and other artists on a consistent basis. The moment when you are so close to letting it go, God's Plan takes over! You WILL hear "no", you WILL experience #rejection, you WILL have doors shut on you but it is preparing you for something greater, bigger and better. If I had quit back in 2018 and if I did not have my support system to help me, I would not be where I am today. There is a plan for you, but you have to push through your fears and #anxiety to reach your potential. Push Through! Keep Going!
