A few years back, one of my best friends, Director Alex Chando, called me with the most beautiful idea - to shoot a series that would bring together the most badass and wonderful women from all walks of life, for a dinner party, so that they could share their stories. We wanted to inspire others, show them that they are not alone in their struggles, and that their dreams are possible. We felt there was a need for more uplifting content and so The Dinner Party was born. We shot the pilot, were very proud of it, and got very close to selling it, but most of the feedback was that it was "too wholesome and altruistic”.
