“Let’s get this party started bay-bay!” ~ Joe Valencia aka @jokoy This movie @eastersunday was such a pleasure to be a (tiny) part of- not only because of Jo, whose comedy I very much delight in, not only because of @bswardell who I got to play mama to and thus absorb his wide open (unique af) lens on the world for a few memorable days, not only because of @jaychandrasekhar who I’d heard all good things about that ALL turned out to be true, or @sethwilliammeier who is the kind of producer you’re lucky to have on the ground, or @amblin because “Steven said yes,” @kencheng21 and #kateangelo for a lovely little script that @ridebackranch @crabclub @universalpictures all championed, not only because of @snackswoo and @nicoleabhallman who entrusted me with “Catherine,” or my hometown for doubling as this Daly City mecca. This movie was MOST a pleasure to be a part of because #AAPI stories on the big screen (and a mainstream) platform is beyond long overdue. The Philippines runs deep and hard in this film, and @tiacarrere @thelydiagaston @livevamaria @joeyguilalive @rodkneetow @eugcordero @elenajuatco @themelodybutiu @loudphillips crush this family story full of heart...and Halo-Halo.
