Blue Man has been my home away from home (holiday moratoriums and all) for what would have been 4 years this September. When I moved to New York, I harbored a lot of anxiety around change. With the support of a badass Front of House team, I have learned to love change. And boy is it inevitable. When you watch live theatre, please know that the immensely talented actors on that stage are loved and supported by a GIFTED group of back and front of house artists, whose passion and dedication to their work and each other keeps the heart of a show beating. They are irreplaceable parts of the theatre community. And they work their asses off y’all. From Blue Men to Band, Company Managers to Decks, Props to Stage Managers, Production Managers to Box Office, Front of House to Cleaning Crew, Concessions to Facilities, Security to Wardrobe, Audio to Electrics, Carps to Video and beyond, the AMAZING people at the Astor Place Theatre are a shining example of exactly what it takes to keep a show running for 33 years.
