Lore has it, twenty-eight years ago yesterday my nine-months-pregnant mom was playing volleyball at a 4th of July barbecue (because of course she was) right before I decided it was time to start making my grand appearance into the world. It took until the fifth to arrive, and I like to believe it’s because there was no way I was letting raggedy America steal my birthday shine 😂 Grateful for another year on the planet, and to be able to spend the days doing the work that I love, and loving the people who make up my community. I’m feeling good about 28 💕😌✌🏾
