Our journey through the airport. Going away with a child with additional needs leaves me lying in bed at night worrying . How will I get his food over ( no this is not a preference it’s essential, the impact of him not eating is extremely difficult) . The crowds in the airport , the noises , the ques, the worry of a anything that could go wrong. Things I took for granted all my life. Trying to map every single step of the journey through the airport often leaves me thinking is it worth it. Let me tell you Harry loves his holidays so I must and will keep putting everything I can Into place so we can get there, no matter how many sleepless night I spend worrying. I was travelling solo with harzo as Terry is working . So here is what we did. We booked in with @prm_assist through their app. We went to t2 check in area and it’s right beside the aer lingus customer desk . From there Sean & Zoe helped his check in and take us through. We also have a lanyard that can assist you to the right lanes to get through the ques. You can apply for a lanyard through the Dublin airports website. We booked an hour in @dublinairport sensory room through the @prm_assist . The sensory room was a big hit and he was calm boarding the flight as another crew member helped us Board. Our buggy was gifted to us by @eurobabynursery and it folds like hand luggage and it could be stored over head, you never really realise how long the walk to collect your luggage is til your have a cooler bag , a baby bag and a little man. It’s called a joolz aer, and I found it amazing . We had a few minutes on the plane where I panicked but he fell asleep and mammy could relax. Another wonderful mammy came back to help me off the plane with my bags 🥹.Nanny magzer was waiting for me on the other side. On another note can I just say thank you to every last one of my beautiful followers for always just “ getting it”. When Harry was first diagnosed and still sometimes I can feel so lonely in it all but honestly I am not. We are not alone , you are not alone , I promise you.
